Agreement to These Terms
These Terms govern your use of TypeOut.io and its related services. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Do not use the service if you do not agree.
The Service
TypeOut provides typing practice, results, and related learning features. We may change, improve, or discontinue features when reasonably needed. We will not reduce paid access during a paid period except for security, legal, or abuse reasons.
Accounts and Eligibility
Provide accurate account information and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account. The service is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires consent for a minor, a parent or guardian must provide it before the minor uses an account.
Guest Test
A visitor may complete one guest typing test before creating an account. The displayed result is stored only in the current browser when available. We also retain anonymous speed, accuracy, difficulty, duration, completion-time, and prompt-ID metrics to measure guest-test use. We do not retain prompt text, typed text, browser identifiers, IP addresses, or an account link. Guest results are not verified account records, cannot appear on leaderboards, and may be lost if browser storage is cleared or unavailable.
Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Before you pay, we will clearly show the price, billing frequency, and material subscription terms. Paid subscriptions renew automatically only with your express consent. You can cancel online through the subscription-management method provided at purchase. Cancellation stops future renewal and keeps paid access until the current billing period ends, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Contact support promptly for billing errors or refund requests.
Acceptable Use
Use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not interfere with the service, bypass limits or security controls, automate abusive requests, submit harmful code, impersonate others, or use the service to violate another person's rights.
Content and Intellectual Property
TypeOut and its licensors own the service, design, and original content. You may use them only for personal, non-commercial use of the service. Do not copy, redistribute, or exploit service content except where law permits or we give written permission.
Availability and Support
We aim to provide a reliable service, but it may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, or events outside our reasonable control. We will use reasonable efforts to address material service problems.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access when needed to protect users, the service, or legal compliance, including for a material breach of these Terms. When practical, we will give notice and an explanation.
Disclaimers
The service provides educational practice and general feedback. It does not guarantee a typing speed, educational result, employment result, or other outcome. The service is provided as available, subject to rights that cannot be excluded by law.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TypeOut is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to TypeOut for the service in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. This limit does not apply where law does not allow it.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, or business changes. For material changes, we will give reasonable notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means that you accept the updated Terms.
