• Typing speed (WPM), accuracy, and error data from account tests, plus anonymous speed, accuracy, difficulty, duration, completion-time, and prompt-ID metrics from guest tests. We do not store guest prompt text, typed text, browser identifiers, IP addresses, or account links
• Practice session history and daily challenge results
• Your IP address, browser type and version, and device information
• The pages you visit, and the date, time, and duration of your visits

Does TypeOut.io sell my data?

No. We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We only share data with the named service providers below, strictly to operate TypeOut.io's core functionality.

What third-party services does TypeOut.io use?

• Supabase — authentication, database, and edge functions that store your account and typing test data.
• Stripe — payment processing for Premium subscriptions. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
• OpenRouter — powers the AI-generated typing feedback feature (see below for details).
• Vercel — hosts our website and content delivery network, and provides usage analytics and performance monitoring after you accept optional cookies.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads — measure site usage and advertising campaign activity after you accept optional cookies.

How is my typing data used with AI (OpenRouter)?

When you request AI-powered feedback on a completed typing test, the text you typed and your performance metrics (WPM, accuracy, error patterns) are sent to OpenRouter's API to generate personalized coaching tips. Under OpenRouter's API terms, this data is not used to train their models. We only send the minimum data needed to generate useful feedback.

How do I access, export, or delete my data?

You can view and manage most of your data directly from your account dashboard. To request a full export or deletion of your account and personal data, email us at typeout.io@gmail.com from your registered email address. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain data by law (for example, payment records for tax purposes).

Does TypeOut.io use cookies or advertising tags?

Yes. We use essential cookies for account functionality. Optional Vercel usage analytics, Google Analytics, and Google Ads measurement load only after you accept optional cookies. You can control or block cookies through your browser's settings, though this may affect some site functionality.
